Privacy
Your data remains yours only
- Your notebooks are stored on your device unless you decide to upload them to your chosen cloud service provider (via the cloud sync feature) or to Nebo’s own cloud service (eg. when sharing content via web link).
- We’re a French company, and use AWS servers based in the European Union. We never sell your data to any third party.
Security
Your data is safe and fully secured
- Our security measures are always designed to meet or exceed industry-standard security practices, ensuring your data is always protected.
- When selecting third-party service providers, we always ensure their security standards are at least equivalent to our own.
- Any notebooks that you upload to your chosen cloud service are sent via HTTPS protocol.

- We have over 25 years’ experience in AI development. We are dedicated to responsible AI development to reduce bias and prevent unwanted outcomes.
- Our expert teams develop algorithms that can understand languages as naturally as any human being. They analyze thousands of publicly available documents, to build our proprietary large language models, predict the next character in a sentence and design systems identifying and correcting misspellings.
- We are constantly working to improve our models using up-to-date datasets.

- This includes obtaining explicit consent from our users before collecting and processing their personal data, implementing secure data storage measures, and allowing for easy access and deletion of personal data upon request.

How secure is Nebo for business or school use?

Is Nebo CCPA-compliant?
The CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) does not apply to Nebo, as it is owned and developed by MyScript, a French company.
What data do we collect or have access to?
When you create an account, we collect your email address but your password is securely encrypted and cannot be viewed by anyone at MyScript.
You can choose to share your notebooks with us anonymously via a switch you can toggle on/off. If you do, they will be used to train our language models, and to that purpose only. You can start/stop sharing your notebooks at any time in Nebo’s Settings menu.
